4/1/2023 0 Comments King hassan gramps![]() He tried to discreetly look around the room, and was unsurprised at what he saw. His sister’s reaction would be apocalyptic to say the least. He was pretty sure that the only thing keeping him from running away was Berserker’s presence at his side, and Uncle Darnic’s punishment. Well maybe in the end by doing that he can mantina control of his stories and his characters, but is fucking confusing.Ĭaules Forvedge Yggdmillennia, tried his best to remain calm and composed despite the killing intent threatening to bring him to his knees. Then by asking nasu directly for it, he declares that such action or hability is a kind of exception in the abilities of that character and that it is so unique that it can only occur under certain conditions, which are usually irreplicables.Īs when Shirou projects divine weapons, until now the exceptions are if I remember well that he projects them "empty" or that he dies after projecting them and using them.Īlthough sometimes it is also modifying the rules based on the improvement of the hability of the character or the environment where it is foundĪs when I justify the improvement of archer's projection abilities as an effect of being in the cell moon. I mean it is typical of nasu to establish rules that in the beginning seem simple, but end up being more complicated or vague than expected, especially with the pass of time.Īn later have a character performs an action or shows a skill that breaks the rules already established even though I did not know exactly the conditions for the king hassan "impose the concept of death", I have to admit that I expected something like this If anything, Karna is more Nasu's Mary Sue than Gil these days, but he's just awesome and humble enough to pull it off, and his sheer power requirement means it's the Master's fault, not his, that he can't win every battle ever. That's what matters when it comes to his title and benefits of being "the first hero." Think of it like recording a story forms a foundation for the legend that is otherwise too nebulous and mutable to have form. The Epic of Gilgamesh is probably the oldest written story known, and all other legends were written/recorded down after, even if the people involved and events portrayed happened prior to Gil. He might loathe them for their Divinity, but both are still top-tier in their own right.Īs for Gil, I don't think it matters at all if other heroes (like Arjuna and Karna) existed before him in a chronological sense, but that his legend was recorded and codified first. Karna and Achilles are his worst match-ups. He's just not as capable of trumping everyone sent against him so easily. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if his zeal lends him buffs against Divine beings and those blessed by them if they aren't his God.ĭon't be mistaken though: King Hassan is still a ludicrously powerful Servant even without his Grand Assassin title. The rest is from his raw strength and experience. Said perks are partly why Hassan can casually stop a mere human's Noble Phantasm with his ordinary greatsword. We also see this in Grand Caster candidates being summoned as regular Servants (Caster Gil, Merlin) without the perks of being Grand Servants. The version that is summonable by humans is a regular Servant, but still bugfuck powerful because of who he is. In effect, Hassan gave up the fact that he was there as Grand Assassin to free up his extra power, then he gave up that power for the purpose of imposing death on Tiamat. ![]() The Grail summonings are just lesser imitations of that system. Grand Servants aren't summonable by humans Grands are the original Saint Graphs designed by Gaia, and some Heroic Spirits are selected as candidates for their use when Gaia needs them if they have the requisite Skills (the only one we know for sure is that Grand Casters must have the Clairvoyance Skill). ![]() I (almost) hate to burst everyone's bubble, but everything Nasu said and shown about King Hassan, Grand Servants and Gilgamesh makes sense if you place things into context of legend, record, and the systems he's already explained. ![]()
